We have arrived tired but happy back home in North Carolina. We want to take this opportunity to tell you how very, very much we enjoyed our return visit to your country and especially our wonderful stays at San Jorge/Quito, San Jorge de Tandayapa and San Jorge/Milpe this summer. Your magnificent reserves, and the fantastic new lodge at Milpe, are truly special, magical places that delighted and thrilled our group of biologists, including birders and non-birders alike. What a treat at Milpe to see so many species of birds and flowers and enjoy so many waterfalls by day, then find insects, frogs, and glowing creatures by night! You and your helpful friendly staff at both lodges made everyone feel so comfortable and at home, and the meals with their delicious touches of Andean cuisine were superb. Jorge, everyone was impressed by your energy, enthusiasm, knowledge, and love of nature, as I knew they would be.
