Angra Eco-Resort

Angra eco-resort is a member of the FUNCEF hotel chain. Constructed in 2000, the 319 apartments can accommodate up to 900 guests. The commitment to environmental protection is in keeping with the Sustainability Policy for the Hotel Sector adopted by FUNCEF, approved in 2006, which fosters the sustainable use of environmental resources in order to meet the needs of the undertaking within the ecological limits of such resources while, at the same time, providing quality service. As an outgrowth of these guidelines a custom management system was designed which is applied to each and all areas of the undertaking, with the participation of the entire staff, who are prepared through consciousness-raising and training activities, for changes in attitudes in the adoption of new practices. Within this policy, the hotel's commitment also extends to neighboring communities and environments. For guests, sustainable practices represent not just a quality advantage. In committing to the conservation of natural environments, the undertaking is also ensuring the supply of other natural services such as pure air, fresh water and insect control. Further still, it offers guests new food for thought in their contemplation of natural environments, contact with forest species, leisure and cultural tourism. The hotel is surrounded by a Private Reserve for Environmental Heritage (RPPN), over 45 square miles in size, which belongs to FUNCEF.
