Adventure Fly & Drive - 8 days

Now it is time for the adventure! This programme gives you the flexibility tochoose between two categories of hotels, budget or upscale, following a fixed route.

Day 1 - Arrival in San José. Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the hotel of your choice - Fleur de Lys or Edelweiss

Day 2 - (B) After breakfast, you will pick up the rental car at your hotel for the trip to the region of Turrialba located about 2 hours drive from San José. Casa Turire or Turrialtico

Day 3- Day at leisure in Turrialba to enjoy the hotel facilities or any of the following optional activities: rafting trip on the Pacuare River, hiking, biking or visit the Guayabo Archaeological Monument.

Day 4 - Today’s drive will take you to the country’s north region passing through the towns of Siquirres, Guápiles and Aguas Zarcas. (4 hours drive). On the way it is possible to visit the Rainforest Aerial Tram, which takes you on a 90-minute guided ride over the canopy of a rainforest. Arenal Springs or San Bosco Hotel

Day 5 - Day at leisure to do some of the following optional activities: visit the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, a visit to Arenal Volcano or a relaxed dip at Tabacon Hot Springs. The Arenal Volcano, which has been in constant activity for more than 30 years is definitively the main attraction in this area.

Day 6- Drive towards the Central Pacific coast located about 3½ hours drive from the northern region. Villa Caletas or Mar de Luz

Day 7 - Day at leisure to enjoy optional activities, such as visit to Carara National Park, visit Manuel Antonio National Park, fishing or hiking.

Day 8 - In the morning drive to the San José International Airport (1½ hours), where you will drop off the rental car before taking your flight back home.

The program includes:
* Meet & greet upon arrival
* Accommodation of your choice (budget or upscale)
* 4-wheel drive rental car.
* Transfer airport – hotel in San José
* Meals as specified each day: B,L or D
* Map and information kit
* All taxes
